Privacy policy

Cosmic Odometer has no accounts, no adverts and no tracking cookies. We do not collect your name, email or location.

Your browser remembers one thing on your own device: whether you turned the sound on, so it stays the same next time. You can clear it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

The page loads its 3D library from the jsDelivr network, and the fonts from Google Fonts, so those services see a normal web request from your browser.

When you share a stop to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, you leave this site and that service's own privacy policy applies.

Terms

Cosmic Odometer is a free journey for learning and enjoyment. Distances and sizes come from published astronomy figures and are rounded; some objects are shown larger or brighter than life so you can see them.

Space photographs belong to their owners and are credited where they appear, mostly NASA, ESA, CSA and STScI. The rest of the scenery is drawn by the site itself.

The site is provided as it is, without any guarantee. Please share links to it freely, but do not copy the site itself without permission.
